CURBSIDE COLLECTION - TIPS TO MAKE IT EASY

Some helpful hints to make collection day easier for you:

Set Out Instructions: Set out trash, recycling and yard trimmings containers at the curb by 6 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. All ashes, sawdust, and animal waste must be bagged securely in the container.

Service Days: Recycling and yard trimmings are collected every other week on the same day as trash. Exception: recycling and yard trimmings for Half Moon Bay residents are collected every other Monday.

Weight Limits: For the safety of our employees, each trash, recycling and yard trimmings container should not exceed 60 pounds. The yard trimmings cart provided by Allied should not exceed 200 pounds. Containers exceeding the weight limits will be tagged and not collected. These weight limits reduce driver injuries. Overloaded containers will also cause damage to the container.

If you are providing your own container for garbage, recycling or yard trimmings there is a 60-pound weight limitation on any single container that Allied employees pick up.
